In good times businesses can usually get away with taking suppliers for granted. Troubled times are different. Then a strong supplier relationship could be the deciding factor between a growing business and a stumbling one.

A recent study found that more than 90 percent of small- and medium-size businesses reported that solid supplier ties saved them time and money and helped them in this difficult business environment.
